Science is dangerous, they'd always say. But all of those brave Aperture employees don't think it is too dangerous, including Robin. A young engineer with a mysterious past made their way into one of the most respected and successful companies in the world. Will they thrive there or will Aperture break them down completely? Will they have their coworkers on their side or against them? And what will happen to Aperture? It seems like even Cave is lacking the ability to run such a huge company. Somebody will have to take his place. And what will happen after the end of Aperture as we know it? Heart of a Robot AU is made to answer all of those questions and more. A story made by a huge Portal fan and a non-native English speaker who has never written a book before. I just want to honour the games that changed my life for the better, forever! In this story you will find some of my own theories and headcanons, as well as the answers to some of the questions that fans have about the canon Portal lore. Oh, and a lot of androids. I hope you're sitting comfortably, because this is a long ride. I don't know how to stop writing. That's why I hope my readers won't know how to stop reading. Let's head into it now, shall we?

Y/n has been a test subject for Aperture a very long time, but has been asleep for most of it. She has been woken up for testing once again, this time being accompanied by a pretty funny and dorky human-like intelligence dampening sphere named Wheatley. As the two continue their journey through Aperture, Y/n has grown fond of Wheatley. Does Wheatley feel the same?

Twelve Test Subjects find themselves taking an experiment in a laboratory which they have supposedly "volunteered" for . Things get darker as the trial progresses, and they start to find out a bit more about the outside world.

In Aperture, everyone has something they need to do in their spare time. So why not talk in a chatroom? Even Wheatley and Space Core can join in, live from space! Includes characters from Portal Stories: Mel and Aperture Tag. WARNING: Contains spoilers for all Portal games, Portal Stories Mel and Aperture Tag.

"Boot up initiated" a male voice said, showing no emotions. Suddenly as if someone turned on the lights [They] could see something. A room. The only thing they could see was a window in front of them. People dressed like scientists stood behind the window. ------- A story staring GLaDOS as it's main character. It will not be canon GLaDOS though. If anyone finds any grammatical mistakes, feel free to tell me about them. Also seeing how things are going for now, it will be a slow progression story. Well at least from my point of view. Not quite sure what you guys' standards are. (Note: All images used in the story or as cover are not mine unless stated otherwise.
