You fight alongside them, but your eyes hold no warmth for Cloud. He notices the void where your affection once lived. And then, in a fragmented flash-a memory of your shared laughter, a ghost of your unguarded smile-it returns to him. The truth crashes down: your admiration was never a betrayal; it was just a part of you. And he punished you for it. Now he sees the consequence. His distrust didn't push you away; it made you erase yourself from your own story. He realizes his greatest failure wasn't losing a battle, but making you believe you had to destroy your own heart to be worthy of his trust. He must fight not just the bioweapons, but the prison of rewritten memories he helped create, desperate to reach the you he remembers-before the you who remains learns to hate him completely.

This is an attempt at translating my French fan-fiction based on the Dragon Quest and Dissidia franchise. Alef: Official novelization name of DQI mc. Allen: Official novelization name of DQII mc. Arel: Official novelization and manga name of DQIII mc. Solo: Official in-game name or DQIV mc. Luca: One of the names of DQV mc in some materials. Others include Abel, but to avoid confusion with another character, I chose this one. Heh. Reck: One of the names of DQVI mc. This is the one used in the Dragon Quest 30th anniversary illustration book, so it felt rather adequate imo. Auster: Name of DQVII's mc in the promotional manual or something. Eight: as much as I don't like using numbers to call characters, since it was, if I recall correctly, the name given to him in the 3DS commercials, I'll use this one too. Avis: This one is, sadly, entirely original. I couldn't find any official name for him, so I decided to find some Latin bird name. Avis simply meaning "bird" in Latin. Many characters appearing in this fan-fiction are coming from spin-off titles, including Dragon Quest Sword, Daï's Big Adventure, Warrior Abel etc. Basically, anything related to the DQ franchise can (or will) be referenced in it. I sincerely hope the translation will not feel too strange and will be open to any comments etc. I hope you'll have fun reading it!

(SHITPOST) chaos and cosmos are cheap as all hell they couldn't afford getting the dissidians nice lounging so they're in tents these tents they're a mile away from Safeway which is their only food source but when access to the safeway is threatened by a 360 drop-kicking chocobo powerful enough to kill noctis the dissidians must work together before it becomes another bad rendition of the hunger games
