Magnolias.
They only bloom once a year and all at once.
Omnia is a girl who has grown up listening to the same old fairy tails and love stories just like everybody else. After a series of disappointing events in her life, she no longer believes in the concept of love and has given up on most things. However, this all changes when she meets a boy on the bus ride home.
Will love bloom?
EXERCPT:
"Touch you?"
"Yes, like this." I pulled his hand in front of me, letting him finish the gap.
And his hand was hesitant.
It hovered over me like it was conducting electricity. How hot his palm was when he finally laid his hand. I watched as he exhaled a heavy sigh. Is a woman's skin so emulsifying?
I moved his hand to my upper shoulder and then to my collarbone. Nothing to fear, I wanted to say.
But my tongue was held when I saw his face wince and his head move back in a conflict of worry and surprise. And I could see the struggle between his mind and what his body wanted to do.
It's just me, I am just skin and bone like the next person. But his breathing was so scarce, his eyes shifted as they did not know where to look. It was at the point where I was starting to get uncomfortable.
I let go of his hands and my face was hot. He gave it to me. The nervous heat.
See? Nothing to fear.
And we both turned our head away from each other.
