A strange beast appears to be terrorising and attacking the residents of Diddlesbury, possibly the most boring town the country. Larry and his best friend enlist the help of the brightest student in school to help them solve the mystery and all three of them begin to realise that the town in which they live, and the people that they live amongst just may not be as boring as they once appeared to be. A series of brutal attacks on seemingly random occupants of the town prompt Larry and his friends to follow the clues that the police missed to eventually seek out and find the villain who is orchestrating the fiendish assaults. As they explore the dark world of the unexplained and the supernatural, they begin to understand that the most abhorrent of monsters is threatening the safety of the entire town. In this tale of quite terrifying and supernatural occurrences, absolutely nothing is quite as it appears to be.
