One word from the wrong person. The story passes from house to house - it doesn't require facts, only the machinery of: I heard. Did you hear? They say. The full version of herself managed down into something that does not ache. Ten years pass. His brother's wedding. Lake Como. A gate. She walks through it and he feels the decade collapse. Not gradually. Not with a process. Simply: stops. What follows is what two people build when they've been given back the decade they were owed. A plan in sixteen chapters. A South Delhi apartment with a neem tree on the balcony. Three children who become theirs. A threat from the past that isn't finished yet. Sometimes you need to understand that not everyone wants the best for you. The protagonist of this story faces this reality first hand. NOTES: I originally wrote this in 2020 when I was 16 as a short two page essay, a month after the COVID-19 pandemic when everything was chaos and needed some motivation. The Hermits going about their daily life when some of them find strange items that they can wear and choose to do so. A new Hermit appears and he seems to have amnesia and doesn't know or remember anything about himself nor how he got access to their world. Now he has to live in a new world with no memories and a strange red and blue wristband that he refuses to take of for some strange reason. One night while he sleeps, he enters The Grayscale World, a mystery dimension that looks exactly like the Hermitcraft world, except everything's in a gray color scheme, and finds a ghost figure who happens to know him but refuses to tell him anything about him. [Hiatus] One day, Xisuma decided to start a journal to keep track of bugs and glitched for when the server updates to 1.16 - the Nether Update.
