Nixie, her beautiful Tailmaiden(or in human terms, handmaiden), hides a humiliating secret. This is the tale(tail?) of two very different mermaids, told in alternating perspectives. A loose retelling of The Goose Girl by the Brothers Grimm with mermaids, set in the same whimsical and detailed mermaid universe as Kae-Leah Williamson's previous novellas, but it can be read as a stand-alone. Albus Dumbledore, he's a great man, extremely sharp, but well he makes tons of mistakes, or does he? he's a man of jokes. here are a few memorable moments when he "mistakes" an ordinary cat for Minerva McGonagall.

Life is good. I take part time jobs to help out with money. It bring smiles at dinner with my Mom and sister. Mom got sick, so I focus more on working. When Mom died I coped day by day. When my sister got married she suggested I move away. It was good, I had a job with decent pay. Work and alone time. Then one day, the world turned bright. Everyday there were new surprises. A symphony whispers in the flick of a butterfly wing. Then a deity fell to earth. She took me away, and sought to cure my waning days. You have to love someone like that, right. There is a great divide in all kind of things, so I got "Friend Zoned". She changed me and gave me a new life. Something to experience with joy day by day. The first chapter was inspired by the phrase "Hauntingly Beautiful Girls". On rural outskirts, an old man works tediously until he discovers an abandoned child. As the child grows up, the truth of its existence and purpose becomes clear and disturbing.

After failing to confess her love, Yllone has to go to the Philippines because of her dad's business. She finds herself in a new school with little knowledge of Filipino/Tagalog, and the only person who can help her is her seatmate. While trying to learn the ways of the Filipinos, Yllone always gets reminded of memories from his old crush, while unknowingly falling in love for his translator seatmate. ••• A light love story focusing on Filipino culture.
