This story is inspired by and based off of Hollywood Undead's song "Bullet". I wrote it about 4 years ago, but it's still one of my favorite short stories I've ever written.

When you're far away from your shadow, you can see the light, the outside world in the blur. So if all we see is our shadow then that's all we are.-KeSpiration Charlie has a plan. Others call it a dream. She's an artist and aspires to be the best. Her three best friends are the reason she's still in this town. Well figuratively. Literally, No one can really afford to leave. But soon enough problems start to unwind about her home, about her friends, about the shadows. And it leaves her hands shaking, gripping around a paint brush. It leaves this town in ruins.
