Being a true disciple means having a willingness to trust Him completely in all aspects of life, from the highest highs to the lowest lows. We know, Discipleship is important because we want people to become fully committed followers of Christ. Discipleship provides the avenue to nurture the new convert in biblical teachings. Discipleship is working out the truthful word of God in the context of a gracious relationship. We suggest that, while we understand that discipleship is important and we say we want to disciple.

Baba Bishan Das discusses a beautiful scripture from India known as the Adi Granth (Shri Guru Granth Sahib), a huge collection of hymns of praise and love (bhakti). Some have evolved traditions that make this scripture into a kind of replacement for living teachers, including in the world of orthodox Sikhism.
