This historical tale is told by a girl named Astrid (the Queen's Sister) who, in order to save the young heir to the throne from danger from the Danes, kidnaps Prince Alfred and raises him in the company of Danes who, unaware of his origin and royal blood, take him among their own. During this, however, Astrid's path becomes entangled with the Danish leader, with whom she later falls in love, complicating several things.

When Sihtric goes missing Finan starts to worry, and realize how truly important Sihtric is to him. How will they find him? What will happen between them?
