Day 68: "Lucas..." I murmur watching his head fall back as he stumbled towards me. Axel already had his ribs broken and several cuts on his face; lying wordlessly on the ground. My poor babies.
"S-Sha...Shania..." He whispered quietly.
"I'm here," I crooned. It had been a day of torture for me; watching the boys I loved get hurt right in front of my eyes and me not being able to do anything. I really was a pansy. Then men that were torturing the twins had left, saying that it was 'break time' giving the twins and I a little alone time.
It wasn't enough.
It's never enough.
"Come here," I softly soothed him, placing his head on my lap and running my fingers in those beautiful locks of his. Even bruised and beaten up he still managed to look hot.
"I-I'm so sorry, I never wanted to do this for you...you deserve so much better. So much." He trembled under my finger tips, his breath slowly evening out.
"It's okay, you gave me the time of my life and I wouldn't change that for the world, besides I love you," I said honestly, realising my slip up a few seconds too late.
"Y-You love me?" He asked like a little child, curious and full of wonder.
"Yes..."I trailed off awkwardly, not knowing wether to be pleased by his response.
"Well guess what Shania?" Lucas' face getting brighter as the seconds passed.
"What?"
"I love you too."
And then he kissed me, in an empty warehouse with his twin lying unconscious on the floor, blood smeared across our clothes and skin and in a place where almost all hope and wonder is gone.
It was one of the most beautiful, meaningful, sorrowful kiss I had ever felt.
