What happens when your life gets turned upside down, and you become next in line for the throne to rule over the Mag Mell? This is a story I'm writing and it is very much a rough draft currently. Please give feedback, hope you enjoy!

Anyone could have made the same mistake, but no... they terminated her because, in their words, she was "the worst assassin ever". This leaves Nekane scouring the job market to avoid her mother's lectures. Somehow, she finds a listing. From a wealthy vampire couple needing a new nanny for their dhampir infant (whatever the hell that is). After all, it's just watching a baby... right? Wrong. Now Nekane has a missing baby, and is left with two choices: admit she lost the dhampir baby or leave. What begins as an awkward and unwanted trip quickly becomes something much bigger. While traveling through the vast forests of the Emerald Expanse, Zephyr and Ezlynn encounter three unusual strangers: Willow Maude, Elaris Ambrose, and Arden Maude. Drawn by curiosity, and a shared desire for adventure, the trio decides to join the chaotic step-siblings on their journey. But everything changes when the group ventures into the mysterious Whispering Gardens, hidden deep within the ancient living forest. There, they discover something impossible: a glowing dragon egg.
