This is a story about people known as The Arcane Ones. They are not like everyone else, they have a power known as their Arcane. There are three types of Arcane: Skin, Wind, and The Unknown. They once were worshiped as gods, yet now they are nothing greater than a lower class worker and even slave in the Kingdom of Ikathea. When it is discovered by their neighboring Kingdom, Coril, that the King of Ikathea has been keeping secrets in an attempt to discover immortality, a war is just on the horizon. Eli, a young Arcane Skin boy escapes from his prison-like orphanage and discovers the dark secret of the place he called home. Arlice, a boy about to become King of Coril, struggles to fill his father's shoes and protect his country. Mara, a girl who just doesn't fit in with the other girls, becomes the insider her country needs and must decide who she wants to be. READ ME BEFORE YOU BEGIN THE STORY Our story starts after the events of the final episode of the Netflix adaptation of Heart Stopper. The Summer holiday's have finally rolled round and our story starts after Nick and Charlie's beach date it's the last Friday of the term before the summer holidays, Nick and Charlie are enjoying their new found relationship status, things seem different but in the best way possible and now they have 6 weeks of just being together and they have an entire summer of figuring out their relationship and ultimately a new world to explore! THESE ARE NOT MY CHARACTERS AND THEY BELONG TO THE WONDERFULLY TALENTED ALICE OSEMAN Authors note: I have dyslexia so please bare with me in terms of spelling grammar and punctuation I try my best I am not a professional I am just someone who is passionate about writing fiction and fan fiction in their spare time! I hope this along with the comics and multiple re watches of season one will fill the void until season 2 is released. Additional notes: There will be some swearing here and there some scenes of a sexual / explicite nature - these will have TW's at the start of each chapter there's brief mentions of Charlie's eating disorder but I won't be going into specific details of graphic long paragraphs or chapters and themes like these will not be a focus of this book as I want this to be.
