Between Quiet Moments There are feelings we never explain out loud. Moments where anxiety quietly sits beside us. Moments where silence feels safer than speaking. Moments where we try to exist without being misunderstood. This collection is made from those moments. Not every poem here is searching for answers. Some are simply trying to breathe through ordinary days, awkward conversations, crowded places, quiet thoughts, and emotions we struggle to name.

Some pain doesn't show on the outside. This is what it feels like to carry everything at once and still try to keep going. For anyone who feels overwhelmed, exhausted, or lost in their own mind - you're not alone.

I hide behind these words and smile behind these tears. This is two truths and a lie. Inspired by my lonely thoughts after dark, each piece is delicate and mixed with fear and fascination. This poem is an exploration of "no" and the way we are denied its use as children at the expense of our own comfort. The ingrained struggle of politeness versus personal boundaries and the societal expectations that shape how we respond. The way we are held accountable for our inability to use it as adults. And hopefully about finding the courage to assert ourselves as we grow and the silent battles many of us carry.

It's literally me ranting to you about my different types of stories that I plan to post and that I may not even post them.

im·ag·i·na·tion /iˌmajəˈnāSH(ə)n/ noun the faculty or action of forming new ideas, or images or concepts of external objects not present to the senses. Otherwise known as "Musings of the Balladeer." This is an anthology of poetry I've written over the course of what is now many years of my life; beginning in my freshman year of high school, back when I was relatively new to poetry, and continuing even to this day. What began as a school assignment expanded into a practice of emotional expression - exploring my thoughts of the world, my feelings toward those around me, and continually redefining "the self." I do not plan on returning to edit anything I've posted (to an insane degree, anyways); keeping it captured like time in a bottle. They are a glimpse into a different time - a different world - and I wouldn't have it any other way. Feel free to interpret as you will.
