*we see Ruby in a podium. She was holding one of her main weapons a choice, an axe. An axe that was currently dripping blood from having passed the last test that her mother had for her. Now we see Ruby wearing only a couple of rags that covered her private parts, while a light is shined on her. Ruby could hear the muttering of her clan as they inspected her, inspected her final kill before she had to leave the island. She had to kill a troop of gorilla Grimm by herself, and as always, she exited expectations. Ruby remained with a neutral expression as she heard the footsteps of her mother making her way towards her.*
Raven: You are ready.
* Raven said as she walked around her daughter, inspecting the child she raised and trained into a warrior that summer could've never made. She looked at the axe that was dripping with black blood of the Grimm and then at the Grimm. They weren't clean kills, but that's what Raven wanted. Not somebody who fought with mercy, no. Mercy was a human concept that is useless in a battle. But the kill of a force of nature, like a typhoon or a stampede. Something that once it starts, it's impossible for human intervention to stop. She gave a short nod as she spoke again.*
Raven: Good. Very good.
* Raven said as she saw that Ruby didn't even spare the children of the Grimm. Like any force of nature, it did not discriminate between the sinners and the saints. It takes, and it takes, and it takes. It does not care if your man or woman, adult or child, nature will take them. Ruby would do the same, whatever it took to finish the mission. To say Raven was proud would be an understatement. She was sure. She was completely certain that Ruby is one of her greatest warriors and is only getting stronger. She knows that she has what it takes to beat the cave spider, since she is her daughter, and like her, they both held something in their hearts to make them stronger.*
Raven: You have that same darkness in your soul that I had. What do you do with it?
Ruby: Control it. My darkness is a weapon. It's not something to be feared, but something to control
* Ruby said without emotion in her tone without a change of expression in her face as her mother continued to walk circle around her, inspecting for any imperfection in her daughter and the future of their village. She knew that if Ruby was to survive 6 years in that web, she couldn't be weak, less the spider sense it and eat her up, like it did with her brother. But then again, Qrow was always so weak, so emotional because he never liked his semblance, and he never got over that. Ruby won't have that problem, Raven made sure of it.*
Raven: Good. What is your mission?
Ruby: to show the world that the Branwen tribe is the strongest tribe in all the kingdoms.
* Ruby said as she heard the cheers of her people, that one of their best was going to show the world that they shouldn't be messed with. Raven nodded, knowing that Ruby would bring their village so much pride that it would be almost blinding to see. Raven grabbed Ruby's chin and raised her face, making the smaller woman look up at the 6 foot chieftain of their village.*
Raven: Yes. What have I taught you?
Ruby: That ozma is the enemy. Never trust anyone who trusts him.
* Ruby said with a firm tone, since she was told the tales of her failure of an uncle, a drunk that's wasted his time chasing a woman that chose his best friend instead of him. It made Ruby sick that the world thought that Qrow was what people thought of when they thought of the last name Branwen. Ruby was going to make sure to change that in these next 6 years. Raven nodded as she held Ruby's cheeks tighter, but Ruby showed no form of discomfort.*
Raven: And what must you do?
Ruby: I must destroy the soul. Permanently.
*Ruby said as her objective was said to the world. Ozpin was the biggest threat to their clan. He needed to be eliminated to secure the safety of their island. And if Ruby has to take on the world to do it? Then she'll drag the world to hell barefooted with her. Raven nodded as she let go of ruby and stood next to her. Speaking to her but at the same time speaking to her villagers, of where the two most important people of the village will be while they're led by their third in command. A woman by the name of Vernal.*
