Later

*we see the students getting ready to go to the cliffside. Blake was one of the last people to get ready since something was going on with the locker, where she kept her weapon. It wouldn't open, so here she was, waiting for a teacher to come and help her. She was on her phone and alone as she waited. She didn't hear the footsteps getting closer and closer to her until a voice was right in front of her.*

Ruby: The white fang

Blake:..... what do you want.

* Blake said coldly, as she didn't even try to deny it. It all made sense to her. Whoever was in front of her caused her locker to jam up so she would stay behind and they could have this private conversation. Blake turned off her phone and sighed, looking up where she saw the dragon girl looking down at her, her piercing silver eyes looking straight at her and that was all she could see as she was hiding the lower part of her face with a face mask, and the top with the hood of her cloak. Ruby gave a slow nod.  She was glad they didn't have to dance around the issue. She took her hand axe off and tossed it gently to Blake's lap. She  grabbed it and looked at it.*

Ruby: I see. I've gotten your attention. Tell me. Look at my axe. Does this symbol look familiar?

Blake: the Branwen tribe.

 * Blake said softly as her eyes started to widen. A member of that clan certainly wasn't somebody Blake expected to ever meet again. Not after the absolute failure of her people's invasion, all those years ago. Blake trembled as her brain was giving her flashes of memories of seeing the leader of the Branwen tribe absolutely livid when she and her group were going to kill off her child. Ruby gave a short nod, not caring that Blake was having an internal panic attack. She didn't have all day to get this done, so she took back her axe and looked at it, looking at the shine of it, as she spoke, making her threat loud and clear.*

Ruby: correct. I am curious why the next heiress to the faunus island is here hiding. I wonder if anyone else knows

Blake: I get the blackmail already. What do you want.

*Blake said with a sigh, she wasn't firm in her tone, nor was she demanding, she spoke in a calm tone, since she knew anything else would be too risky, her people were given a clear picture of what this tribe could do when angered, Blake is not looking for a repeat that lesson. Ruby nodded as she knew she got her 4th teammate member. Since now, there was no way Blake would say no, not if she knew what was good for her.*

Ruby: for you to be part of my team. Make no mistake. The other 2 already know who you are. And they're the only one who'll know as long as you join.

Blake:... deal.

*Blake said with a short nod, there were worse things that she could've asked, plus having a Branwen as a partner would be great for protection of her own demons that think she's dead from her island. Ruby smiled under her mask, glad that they didn't have to have a whole song and dance before Blake accepted her most gracious invitation. So, Ruby walked to Blake's locker and opened it up for her. Grabbing Blake's weapon and inspecting it as she spoke. Seeing that it was a sword like jaune, but while jaune was a broadsword, Blake's sword was more of a Katana, making it different enough in Ruby's eyes, since both asks for different techniques and uses of it.*

Ruby: Glad we could come to an understanding. Now grab your weapon and come along. Our teammates are waiting for us.

Blake: Just answer me something. Why did you choose me? Is it so I could be your slave?

  * Blake asked with a bit of a frown. She had heard the rumors of what happened to those who didn't make it out of Branwen Island in time after their failure. Of course, rumors were just that, rumors. They didn't enslave anybody. They didn't live long enough to become enslaved since those who didn't make it out were just granted a quick death, used for training, or used for entertainment. But that rumor that started it all, that rumor that her clan would keep slaves around. It made her furious beyond beliefs they were warriors, thieves, and pillagers, but they weren't monsters. So, Ruby spoke with so much contempt behind her words, as she spoke to them. *
