I entered in the familiar house in which I stayed a few months ago. The memories are still fresh inside my little head, which didn't work during the meetings.
After a week of learning the basics about my job, I am going to do it. Like seriously, I have to do nothing; just make a schedule and follow him with a Macbook.
I just have to behave and nod. That is piuuuuuu!! The salary is in your hands at the end of the month. I like the job but not the Boss. I have to tolerate him for the rest of the day. I have to meet him at eight in the morning and don't know when I will be free.
As I took off my shoes, a masculine figure was sitting on the couch, braiding his daughter's hair. Ira is half asleep, and her back is leaning on Laksh's front.
"You are six minutes late, Miss. Trivedi" He says, and I turn my head towards the wall. Why am I admiring both of them?
"Momo?" I heard her, and my neck turned towards her. She slid herself from his lap and ran towards me with tears in her eyes.
"Mo-mo", She whispered, and here my eyes started filling with tears after seeing her.
I took her in my arms and kissed her forehead and cheeks. She sticks to me like a panda to the tree and digs her head in my neck. Her hands are in a fist holding my shirt fabric.
I caressed her hair and called her name softly. Only to look at her crying face.
"Why are you crying?" I ask and she shakes her head.
"I will never leave you alone in the house. You left me while I was going to bring flowers for you," She says, and I wipe the tears that were on her cheeks.
"I never left you, Ira. You are my child. How can I leave you huh?" I ask, and she shakes her head again, making a sad face.
"But you did. Everyone I met everyone left me. Everyone" She says and breaks into tears.
"Ira, I am here, my child, I am here", I say, but she doesn't listen to me and cries more. I sat down on the couch with her in my lap and kissed her head.
"If you don't stop crying, then I will leave you again,", I say, and finally, she wipes her tears and stops crying. I smile
"Promise me you won't leave me alone again" She asks while extending her hand towards me for the promise. I shake my head.
"Hmm, Ira, I have to I can't live with you under the same roof. I also have a family and a job" She lowered her head after hearing my words.
"Now let me braid your hair", I heard Laksh from behind. He came in front of me to take the Ira from my arms but she didn't leave me.
"I don't want to. Let my hair open for today," She says, and he shakes his head and tries to take her in his arms, but she doesn't leave my lap instead of holding my shirt in her fist tighter.
