Eclipse Smith

Time sure runs quickly. One hour ago, Tatum came here to hang out and then it feels just like five minutes when she talk about everything but it's actually an hour.

I'm alone again and it sometimes feel suffocating to be alone in this four walls.

For about an hour, I just continued into reading the novel while also listening to music. I got so caught up in reading that when I looked out of my window, the stars are now visible. Then I felt my lips stretched into a smile.

I may not allowed to go out under the sun or even NEVER ever gonna experience it in my entire life. But, there are some things that I'm really grateful. I'm grateful that I can still go out, just without the sun though. But, there's the moon and stars that I adore so much.

I removed the earphones from my ears and arranged my stuff on my bed because I caused a bit of a mess from shifting and turning. I decided to go out of my bedroom and went to the house's terrace. When I got there, I looked up to the sky with the moon and countless stars.

I want to sit on the roof so I slowly climbed onto the railings. It's not really hard to climb up since the distance between the roof and the railings is pretty much like my height.

Once I got up, I crawled to the part of the roof where it is comfortable to sit and to watch the skies and the lights from the town.

This is my favorite place in the house, the second one is my bedroom. This is the only place where I can appreciate the surroundings, even though I can only go out when the sun's down. It's pretty disappointing that I can never see the whole world and feel the sun's rays even just for once in my lifetime. Once I do that, I'll be dead in pretty much twenty-four hours. It is disappointing, but at least the moon and stars exists.

“Oh how beautiful life must be if I could feel the sunshine on my skin. How beautiful it must be not to hide from the light,” I whispered and sighed.

“Will I be just like this for the rest of my life? What's the purpose of being alive then?” I continued.

I inhaled the cool air with my eyes closed and thought about mom and dad. As I thought about them, I touched the necklace around my neck and held the gem pendant. I always wear this necklace ever since I was just little, this necklace always reminds me of my parents. With this necklace, I can feel them closer to my heart.

How are they doing? They haven't called for two days now. I miss them, I really hope that they could come home on my birthday or at least before my birthday. My birthday is four weeks away from now.

They're really busy and serious about business, they almost don't have time for me anymore. Sigh, I sometimes wish to turn back time when they're still always here with me, taking care of me. Now it's just only me in this house, all alone. They taught me how to be independent and to take care of myself since I'm almost an adult, but it's better when they are here. If they don't call later, I will be the one to ring.

I continued to admire the sky and feel the wind against my skin. It's really quiet and peaceful in this neighborhood.

Because of the quietness, a few minutes later, I heard a sound that there's someone or something is moving from my back.

Out of reflex, I turned to my back where I think the sound came from. To my surprise, I saw him. The guy that I saw earlier. From what I remembered, his friend called him Felix.

His eyebrows quirked up when our eyes met. He just stood there and we stared at each other's eyes for kind of a... long and awkward time.

Should I say Hi?
