Felix Navaryous
I stayed at the ocean for two hours with Andre and Julio keeping me in company.
I was kinda annoyed by them. I came here to be at peace and to do what I like to do but these kids just showed up.
For two hours straight, the two kept asking me questions.
“Where are you from, Felix?”
“Do you have parents?”
“Do you have siblings?”
“Do you have a wife?”
“Wait—what is a wife?”
“How old are you, Flix?”
“Have you ever tried stealing?”
“Is the world flat?”
“Why are you white?”
“Why...”
“What...”
“How...”
“Where...”
They asked a hundreds of questions. I answered them one by one but it's frustrating and annoying because after I answered them, there's another question related to my answer. The cycle goes on.
I'm putting finishing touches of my sketch when Julio suddenly asked a question that made me pause.
“What is love?”
I remain silent. I put one last stroke of my pencil on the paper and then I decided that I'll better get going. I closed the notebook and put it inside my backpack along with the pencil.
“Love. Where did you hear that word, Julio?” I heard Andre asked his brother.
“Well, I heard a boy say it to a girl,” Julio answered.
“Hmm, maybe Love is her name,” Andre thought innocently.
“No, it's not. I heard the boy say, I love you. Not only 'Love',” Julio insisted.
“Love is a word. You'll know the meaning in your own way when you're older,” I finally answered. I stood up and put my backpack around my left shoulder.
“Why don't you just tell us, Felix?” Andre said.
“Because I don't want to,” I simply answered.
“Wh—”
“Stop asking. I'm gonna go,” I said and started walking back to the gate.
“Bye, Felix!” they both said and in the corner of my eye, I can see Julio waving his hand.
I climbed up to the gate and landed on the ground swiftly.
I checked the time on my wristwatch. It is 9:05 in the morning. I don't want to go back to the house yet so I decided to go at Archer's house to hangout for a little bit.
He lives near our school but ironically, he comes in very late. His family's rich and he's also a spoiled child because he always got the good stuffs. The latest version of a cellphone, video games, clothes, and other materialistic things. But he's a good person though.
Sometimes he gets bored with the things that he have and just randomly give it to me. Just like my wristwatch and my cellphone. But I rarely use the cellphone, though. I don't really know how to use it other than texting and I don't have a text-mate, so it's just pure useless to me.
After minutes of walking, I finally arrived at Archer's house.
I step into the porch and rang the doorbell two times. For a few seconds later Archer's dad, Gordon opened the door.
