Felix Navaryous
“Hello, Felix,” Eclipse said with a smile.
Sitting there under the pale moonlight, her bright brown eyes appeared darker. The freckles on her nose and cheeks are dull that I almost can't see them.
“Hello, Eclipse.” I rested both of my arms on the arm rest and my leg on top of the other leg, forming a number 4. “Sitting on top of the roof again, huh?”
She looked up to the moon for a second and gazed back at me before answering. “Well—” She shrugged. “I don't want to miss a night without gazing the moon and stars.” With her fingers, she brushed her black hair gently.
For a moment, we paused in silence then she asked me, “What about you, Felix?”
“Just taking a breath. Staying inside sometimes suffocates me.”
She slowly grinned.“Is that why you aren't smoking?”
I felt the sides of my lips twitched. I'm thinking she is telling a joke, I don't blame her though, she usually sees me smoking. It is kind of offensive but it's also funny, almost... cute.
A chuckle escaped my lips but only for a moment. “Not really. I actually ran out of cigarettes.”
She nodded slowly. “Oh okay, sorry.”
I shook my head. “Nah, don't be.” I stood and rest both of my arms on the railings.
She just smiled and decided to change the topic. “So, Felix. Tell me, what's it like to go to school? If you mind me asking. I'm just curious.” She looked down, suddenly interested with her fingers.
“What's it like? Well, I'm maybe the worse person to answer that question. Because personally, going to school is draining. But there are people think that school is fun, so it is either the two.”
“Is that so? Well, do you have friends in school?” she asked while her head tilted.
I simply nodded as reply.
“And enemies as well?”
I recalled the day when I punched Brandon out of anger and thought that she must've saw me. Of course, she saw me.
But Brandon isn't really my enemy, I was just pissed off by the guy. Anyways, we already apologized and I guess we're good.
I shrugged. “I don't have enemies. But maybe, some think that I am an enemy to them.”
She rested her chin on her palm and her fingers touching her cheek.
“Sorry if I asked too many questions. I want to get to know you... I guess.” She can't look straight into my eyes. “U-Uh can we be friends?” she stammered, and I realized that she's not used to making friends or communicating people because she never go outside.
I am amused by her shyness. I rarely see girls like her, this may be the first I encounter one and she even wants to be friends with me. There's no problem with that.
“Sure. Let's get to know each other, then,” I began. There's a gleam in her eyes when she heard my words and a sweet smile formed in her lips. I don't know why but my heart skipped a beat.
